The representative of the community in the National People’s Assembly, Abdel-Wahhab Yacoubi, confirmed that during the vote on the Finance Law 2023, the amendment of Representative Fares Rahmani regarding the transfer of the bodies of Algerians who died abroad was adopted, as The author of this amendment proposed the establishment of a solidarity fund for the community, which would be funded by imposing a tax stamp of 20 euros when issuing or renewing the consular registration card.
Yaqoubi said in a post on his official page on the social networking site, that the amendment to this tax condition was voted on, imposing a tax stamp of 20 euros when issuing or renewing the consular registration card, in order to avoid the state sponsoring any financial expenses related to this matter.
The deputy called on the Algerian community abroad not to rush and those who have valid insurance not to stop their contracts until matters are more clear, pledging to follow up the file with professionalism and extreme care.
