Elon Musk reveals he sleeps next to two guns and a painting of George Washington

Elon Musk, the billionaire Twitter CEO, revealed in a tweet on Monday, two handguns on hand and a painting of George Washington on a nightstand.

Musk shared a photo of his bedside table on Monday morning, showing it filled with empty Coca-Cola cans, a sci-fi-like handgun, as well as a flintlock in an elaborate case.

The case of the revolver featured an image of George Washington crossing the Delaware on its inner sleeve, which was left open.

“Bedside table,” read Musk’s comment.

The photo also showed four Coca-Cola cans on the table with several splatter rings, prompting the billionaire to tackle the mess.

“There is no excuse for my lack of coasters,” he wrote.

Some Twitter users mentioned that the gun appears to be a replica of a video game. Musk did not clarify whether or not the gun was operational.

The brief look into the billionaire’s bedroom comes nearly a day after he announced that Twitter was seeing all-time record numbers of users on the platform.

“I think I see a The way to Twitter Crossed 1 billion monthly users in 12 to 18 months,” Musk tweeted to author and psychologist Jordan Peterson, who was allowed back on the platform last week after being suspended earlier this year.

Musk shared slides from an internal situation report he gave on Sunday. The slides say that hate speech impressions are down on the site compared to this time last year.

He went on to acknowledge Twitter’s “massive” drop in revenue, which he blamed on activists pressuring advertisers to pull business from the platform.
