Matthew Perry A Friends star has died, TMZ has learned.
Law enforcement sources tell us the actor was found Saturday at a Los Angeles-area home… where we’re told he appears to have drowned. Our sources say first responders rushed to the cardiac arrest call. It is unclear where exactly this happened.
Our sources say he was found in the home’s jacuzzi…and we’re told no drugs were found at the scene. We were also told that there was nothing wrong with it.
Perry is best known for his role as Chandler Bing on the hit ’90s sitcom, which ran for 10 seasons… and with him in all 234 episodes. His character was a fan favorite, as was the performance – his mannerisms, phrases and gimmicks have been recreated by fans all over the world. One thing that comes to mind, in particular… “Could (empty) be more..”
While “Friends” was his biggest claim to fame… MP has starred/guest starred in countless other TV shows over the years – such as “Boys Will Be Boys,” “Growing Pains,” and “Silver Spoons “, and “Charles”. The Charge”, “Sydney”, “Beverly Hills, 90210”, “House is Free”, “Ally McBeal”, “The West Wing”, “Scrubs”, “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip”, “Carry On”, “The Odd Couple” and more .
He’s also worked in a few memorable films (mostly comedies)…like “Fools Rush In”, “The Whole Nine Yards”, “Three to Tango”, “The Kid”, “17 Again” and “Getting “In”. ,’ And many other things. He’s been out of the scene lately… and hasn’t acted since a TV mini-series in 2017.
While his on-screen persona was friendly and upbeat, Matthew struggled badly behind the scenes — particularly with his addiction to drugs and alcohol…and painkillers, specifically. He was addicted to Vicodin for years — even while on “Friends” — and was in and out of rehab.

While Perry appeared clean and sober a year ago, the year before — when he and other cast members were anchoring a “Friends” reunion show — Raised anxiety From fans… because they felt like he looked sick, sometimes slurred his words and looked a little out of it.
