Grimes is no stranger to white ink tattoos – and now she’s considering getting a tattoo on her face.
The singer, 34, asked her Instagram followers what they thought of the potential addition on Friday while sharing a colorful selfie.
Grimes, whose real name is Claire Boucher, commented on social media, “I’m seriously considering getting a white ink tattoo on my face next week.”
“Any thoughts?” She asked. “Looks like it’s time.”
Although the musician did not explain when she took the selfie, it came about a week after she shared a photo of her face with bandages and sparked rumors that she had undergone ear surgery.
While some fans of the songwriter speculated about her “swelling,” the majority shared their support for the ink she wanted in the comments.
Many simply wrote, “Do it.” One Instagram user added, “I’ll get a matching one.”
In January, Grimes wrote via Stories that she was in the midst of a “long, slow effort to get a complete alien body… completely covered in white ink.”
“Alter Ego” judge gave a glimpse of her then new chest tattoo, which was completed with the help of Tweakt tattoo artist and digital designer Nusi Quero.
Grimes tasked the same duo with covering her back in a tangled web of white stripes, supposedly representing “strange scars,” in April 2021.

Grimes, who has multiple tattoos on her head and hands, told Teen Vogue in April 2016 that she often doesn’t make a decision on what art she wants until “10 minutes before.”
The record producer added at the time that she saw her image as a way to “promote” her art projects.
“The way you wear it, even if it’s just a shirt and pants, is a statement in and of itself whether you like it or not,” she explained.
Two years later, the “My Sister” singer was romantically linked to Elon Musk for the first time, and they debuted on the red carpet at the Met Gala.
The on-again, off-again couple had a tumultuous relationship and one parent’s son is currently X AE A-XII, 2, and daughter Exa, 9 months.
The duo split earlier this year after welcoming their youngest child via a surrogate.
“E and I have broken up *again*”, Grimes chirp in March. “He’s my best friend and the love of my life, and my life and art are forever dedicated to The Mission now.”
News broke the following month that Tesla CEO, 51, welcomed twins with Neuralink CEO Shivon Zilis in November 2021.
Musk also shares twins Vivian and Griffin, 18, and triplets Kay, Saxon and Damien, 16, with ex-wife Justin Musk.
