Mike Tyson suffered a medical emergency during a flight from Miami to Los Angeles on Sunday.
His rep told Page Six on Monday that the professional boxer “suffered nausea and dizziness due to an ulcer that broke out 30 minutes before landing.”
“He appreciates the medical staff who were there to help him,” the spokesman continued, explaining that Tyson, 57, is now “doing great.”
Touch Weekly was first to report on the “apparent medical scare” over the weekend, but Tyson’s rep responded to the “false report that his medical care caused” a delay before takeoff.
Rather, it was “due to a problem with the air conditioning on the plane.”
Tyson’s health scare comes two months before he returns to the ring to fight Jake Paul.
The “Hangover” actor called the match a “no-brainer” when it was announced earlier this month.
“He’s the new guy on the scene,” Tyson told the press. “I love to shake the sports world to its core, and I’m doing it now. It’s just something I want to do.
“No one else could do this,” he continued at the time. “Who else can shut down the sports world? No one else can do it.”
However, Tyson admitted that “his body is not like that.”
The “Mike Tyson Mysteries” star has been documenting his rigorous workouts via Instagram all month to “get back into it.”
Meanwhile, Paul, 27, was doing the same thing for himself.
“I’ll bite your ear off Mikey,” the YouTube vlogger joked in a recent video, referring to Tyson’s famous 1997 fight with Evander Holyfield.
Paul called himself a “natural heavyweight” in a press conference this month, saying he would “be able” to take on the retired pro.
“I’m a heavyweight kid,” he said. “I’m going to show Mike who has more power. I think he underestimates me. I think everyone underestimates me.”
So far, Paul has faced mixed martial artist Ben Askren, the UFC’s Tyron Woodley, and MMA star Anderson Silva, among others.
For his part, Tyson competed professionally from 1985 to 2005 and was the undisputed heavyweight champion for four years.
The Paul vs. Tyson fight at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, will stream live on Netflix on July 20.
