During his meeting yesterday, Sunday, with members of the National Syndicate of General Physicians for Public Health headed by Dr. Saleh Laour Abdel Hamid, within the framework of the dialogue and consultation sessions with the social partner, the Minister gave directives to the central executives to do their best to improve the situation and find solutions to all the problems raised, and that Following the presentation of the National Syndicate of General Physicians for Positive Public Health, on which this category of health sector professionals reside, as it demanded the necessity of re-consideration and the necessary status of the general practitioner by enabling them to benefit from new procedures in their favor within the basic laws that are being re-reviewed similar to the inclusion of the rank of general practitioner Public health specialist.
And according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Health, issued today, Monday, the syndicate stressed the importance of its involvement as a social partner that would provide a lot in drafting items that concern them primarily in the context of the basic laws that are being prepared, in addition to other works. In the context, the Minister of Health, Abd al-Haq Sayhi, reaffirmed that the doors of dialogue are open with the social partner in order to create an appropriate social climate to improve the health system in a way that serves the professionals of the sector and the citizen at the same time, expressing his conviction that the National Syndicate of General Physicians for Health contributes. The public, with the interests of the central administration, in improving the professional and social conditions in which general physicians reside, announcing new procedures for their benefit, in the context of the program outlined by the Ministry of Will to create or re-establish medical and surgical emergency services for all specialties at the level of all health structures, in accordance with the directives President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
At the end of the meeting, the two parties unanimously agreed on the need to re-consider the role of the general practitioner or the reference physician in the health system, while enabling him to benefit from continuous training to enhance and upgrade his professional path.
