Outcome: 7 members of support for terrorist groups were arrested and quantities of Moroccan kif were seized

Within the framework of counter-terrorism operations, joint detachments of People’s National Army (07) arrested elements supporting terrorist groups in separate operations across the national territory.
Within the framework of the fight against organized crime and in continuation of the relentless efforts aimed at confronting the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, joint detachments of People’s National Army, in coordination with the various security services, stopped (50) drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to bring in large quantities of drugs across the border with Morocco, estimated at (14) quintals and (50) kilograms of treated kif, while (25) kilograms of cocaine and (47810) hallucinogenic tablets were seized.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Vizam, Djanet and Tindouf, detachments of People’s National Army arrested (98) people and seized (39) vehicles, (149) generators, (66) hammers, (13) metal detectors and (08) Tons of a mixture of gold ore and stones, in addition to quantities of explosives, detonating equipment and other equipment used in illegal gold exploration operations, while (18) people were arrested and (11) hunting rifles, two (02) automatic pistols, and quantities of foodstuff destined for smuggling were seized. The speculation is estimated at (130) tons, as well as (53,000) packages of tobacco and (17,685) units of various beverages, and this is through separate operations across the national territory.
In a related context, border guards, in coordination with the national gendarmerie, thwarted attempts to smuggle large quantities of fuel estimated at (27076) liters in Tebessa, Souk Ahras, El Tarf and Tamanrasset, while (123) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
