Not much is scarier than glancing at your iPhone screen and realizing it’s only at 3 percent battery life. We’ve all been there: Panic ensues, and you start to think, where’s the closest charger? as you race around your house or workspace and scramble to find a random outlet where you might’ve left a cable of some sort to plug into.
Even if you don’t go into an instant fight or flight mode when your phone is about to die—maybe most folks, unlike me, are responsible adults who don’t wait until the last minute to find a charger—having the tools to power up your devices at a moment’s notice is always preferable to a last-minute scramble to recharge.
That’s why we’ve scouted plenty of options for keeping your iPhone juiced around the house. No more panic searching for a nearby outlet—these cords, adapters, and docks will charge your phone at breakneck speeds, and come with cables that are long enough to reach wherever you’re sitting, or with MagSafe pads that give your fingers a rest. Plus, they’re all available right now on Amazon, so you can up your charging speeds with quick Prime shipping.
The Best iPhone Chargers
What to Consider
Not all iPhone wall adapters and charging cables are built the same. It goes without saying, but the default charging cable Apple usually bundles with its products is the best bet for safely charging your phone and ensuring the longevity of your iPhone’s battery life.
But of course, Apple products are, well, pricey, and several over brands offer their own alternatives to first-party products at a cheaper price, though sometimes at the expense of damaging battery life. To ensure your iPhone will extend beyond future Apple generations, look for products that are MFi-certified, or Made for iPhone/iPod/iPad. MFi accessories and devices must undergo multiple tests and pass a quality assurance inspection from Apple itself in order to carry that badge. If MFi is on a product’s box, it’s been verified by Apple as safe and reliable.
This rule also applies to wireless charging via MagSafe. MagSafe chargers, which magnetically charge your iPhone, emit up to 15 watts of charging power. From iPhones 13 onward, the standard charging cable is a Lightning-to-USB-C, which can support up to 30 watts of power. However, without a proper wall adapter, your iPhone won’t be able to take that much juice. A power delivery (PD) adapter can boost your cable’s charging power, accelerating that charge.
How We Selected
To find the best iPhone chargers from Amazon, we considered highly-rated cables, cords, docks, and stations available at the online retailer. We also took into account reviews from critics and competitor publications like Wirecutter and PC Mag. All items on this list have no less than a 4- out of 5-star average customer rating. Most products are also by trusted tech brands that earned MFi badges for their products.
