In celebration of Africa and in solidarity with Palestine, the activities of the Algiers International Book Fair continue for the fifth day in a row, with the participation of 1,283 publishing houses from 61 countries.
African culture recorded itself as a guest of honour, as exhibitors and intellectuals from 61 countries, including 19 African countries, participated in literary, scientific and other publications, in addition to various programs that included intellectual and cultural activities such as lectures and meetings, in the presence of well-known literary names from Algeria, Africa and the Arab world.
By the way, the State of Palestine grabbed the spotlight, due to the great solidarity with it on the part of exhibitors and visitors, and the Gaza space was distinguished by the lectures, seminars, forums, and poetry evenings it hosted, which were animated by intellectuals and writers from Palestine and many Arab countries. The “Make Your Mark” corner was also very popular. And it was left as a free space to express what is happening in Palestine, “Pride Gaza, long live Palestine, all love for Palestine… and other expressions of support and solidarity for sister Palestine…
It is noteworthy that the event will continue until November 4, 2023.
