In the context of the continuing efforts made to combat terrorism and combat organized crime in all its forms, units and detachments of the People’s National Army carried out, during the period from 15 to 21 November 2023, many operations that resulted in qualitative results that reflect the extent of the high professionalism and constant vigilance and readiness of our armed forces throughout the territory. the National:
Within the framework of the fight against terrorism, detachments of the People’s National Army were able to arrest (08) members of support for terrorist groups during separate operations across the national territory, while two (02) conventionally made bombs were discovered and destroyed during a search and combing operation in Blida.
Within the framework of the fight against organized crime and in continuation of the tireless efforts aimed at confronting the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, joint detachments of the People’s National Army, in coordination with various security services during operations across the military regions, arrested (50) drug dealers and thwarted attempts to introduce (03) qanatir and (81) A kilogram of processed kif crossed the border with Morocco, while (4,376) kilograms of cocaine and (240,245) hallucinogenic tablets were seized.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Guezam, In Salah and Djanet, detachments of the People’s National Army arrested (158) people and seized (38) vehicles, (224) electric generators, (84) hammers, (08) metal detectors, and (130) A quintal of raw gold and stones, in addition to quantities of explosives, blasting equipment, and equipment used in illegal gold prospecting operations, while (15) other people were arrested and (06) hunting rifles, (29,634) liters of fuel, and (31) tons were seized. Of foodstuffs destined for smuggling and speculation, (16) quintals of tobacco, and (21,389) units of various beverages, during separate operations across the national territory.
On the other hand, coast guards thwarted illegal immigration attempts on our national coasts and rescued (449) people who were on board traditional-made boats, while (333) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
