Ben Brahem: Civil society is required to strengthen participatory democratic practice – Algerian Dialogue

The head of the National Observatory for Civil Society, Noureddine Ben Brahem, called on civil society to work to “strengthen participatory democratic practice as an extension of the path to building a strong Algeria.”
Ben Braham said in his speech during the work of the National Civil Society Forum “Dialogue, Citizenship and Development” at the Palace of Nations (Pine Club), today, Saturday, in Algiers, that civil society activities “are required to strengthen participatory democratic practice, and this is in fulfillment of the path of building a strong Algeria.”
In this context, Ben Braham highlighted “the strong will of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to combat corruption and bribery and embody digital transformation,” stressing the necessity of “civil society’s involvement in this endeavor to achieve noble goals.”
Ben Braham stressed that the President of the Republic “made civil society part of his political, moral and institutional commitments with a system of consistent ideas that are aware of the national, regional and international context.”
The spokesman pointed out that “the very important reforms undertaken by the President of the Republic made the National Observatory for Civil Society and the Supreme Youth Council a tool for effective citizenship aimed at maintaining a safe and inclusive environment for all the sons and daughters of Algeria.”
