The Minister of Housing, Mohamed Tarek Belaribi, chaired a meeting that included directors of public equipment at the national level, in order to evaluate the achievements of the year 2023 and prepare for the year 2024.
The Minister of Housing confirmed that President Tebboune gives great attention to housing, urbanization and the city, which was evident through the sectoral budget entitled for the year 2024, and this confirms the principle of social gains and the social character of the state.
In this regard, the first official in charge of the sector indicated that “the share of public equipment amounted to 261 billion Algerian dinars as commitment licenses and 26.8 billion dinars as payment approvals.”
He also explained that this financial envelope would allow the implementation of the program registered in the 2024 Finance Law, which is estimated at 326 public facilities across the national territory.
These public facilities include 100 schools, 59 middle schools, 40 high schools, 40 security headquarters, and 30 multi-service clinics. Regarding achievements, 25 primary schools, 7 middle schools, and 6 high schools, 13 security headquarters, and 5 multi-service clinics were registered.
By the way, the Minister added that the completion of all these projects required a solid strategy, the basis of which was university graduates, including tires and engineers.
He added: “We have given young women, who have never held a senior position, the opportunity to work.”
In a speech addressed to public equipment managers, the minister stressed that “the state has provided everything necessary, and we will not tolerate anyone who hinders the construction of any schools or public facilities.”
