Algeria-Czech… a joint working group to enhance industrial cooperation

This meeting, which was attended by the Czech ambassador to Algeria, Lanka Pokorna, a delegation from the Czech Ministry of Trade and Industry and executives from the Ministry of Industry, focused on the reality of economic and industrial relations and prospects and ways to develop and enhance them to rise to the level of political and historical relations between the two countries.

The two sides, who affirmed the will of their countries to enhance joint cooperation, identified areas that could constitute possibilities for partnership between Algeria and the Czech Republic and their institutions, especially those related to food security, manufacturing industries, renewable energies, mechanical and vehicle industries, as well as mining industries.

They agreed to form a joint working group to discuss in detail the opportunities for fruitful bilateral cooperation and partnership in these areas and to embody them in the short term, as well as to intensify meetings and visits between the two parties.

In his speech, Zaghdar touched on the natural and human potentials and qualifications and the strategic location that distinguishes Algeria, which makes it one of the most important investment destinations. He also highlighted the new guarantees, incentives and advantages granted by the investment law to foreign investors, calling on Czech institutions to exploit them and embody their projects in Algeria.

For his part, the Czech minister reaffirmed his country’s desire to promote and develop its cooperation with Algeria, expressing his hope to expand the dynamism and economic movement witnessed by bilateral relations in the recent period.

Yesterday, Monday in Algeria, the Minister of Industry and the Minister of Trade and Industry of the Czech Republic oversaw the opening of the Algerian-Czech Business Forum, which will last for two days, in the presence of businessmen from both countries.
