Algeria expressed its strong condemnation of the terrorist attack that targeted, on Thursday, a graduation ceremony at the Military Academy in the city of Homs in the sisterly Syrian Arab Republic, killing and wounding dozens of civilians and student officers.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad stated, in a statement today, Friday, that Algeria renews its full solidarity with the Syrian government, and affirmed that it remains convinced that the brotherly Syrian people, whose resolve has been energized by the painful experiences they have gone through, will be able, through their unity, to stand up. In the face of the enormous challenges posed by the scourge of terrorism.
The statement added, “In these painful circumstances, Algeria extends its condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and the injured.”
It is noteworthy that an air attack with drones targeted the Military College in Homs on Thursday, killing at least 110 people and wounding others, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
